At their most recent public meeting, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency (SEOPW CRA)awarded small business grants to local businesses.
The SEOPW CRA has been the backbone of Overtown’s economic redevelopment since 1982, and its Small Business Grant Programs represent one of the most direct mechanisms available for keeping dollars and ownership in the hands of people who actually live and work in the neighborhood.
Each of the businesses were awarded $5,000.
Stephanie Creates: Spreading homegrown culturally-rich anecdotes to the masses.
Italian Vice: Miami’s Premier Gourmet Italian Ice Company. Hard Rock Stadium Sec 139 & 341, Inter Miami FC Stadium Sec 121, Nu Stadium Sec 125
Two Guys Restaurant: Serving Caribbean Soul Food in the heart of Overtown. 1490 Nw 3rd Ave, Miami, Florida 33136
Fancy Beauty Supply Inc: A beauty bloggers paradise. 1490 NW 3rd Ave, Miami, Florida 33136
Water Boy Water Inc: An easy and affordable way to provide your family and loved ones with clean bottled drinking water.
The CRA’s broader mandate right now is significant. With a roughly $162 million municipal bond approved in 2025, the agency is positioned to fund infrastructure, cultural spaces, affordable housing, and the revitalization of Ninth Street’s historic Pedestrian Mall, among other initiatives. Small business grants sit inside that larger story — they’re the ground-level economic layer that gives the neighborhood’s commercial identity a boost as development pressure increases from all directions.
