Building a stronger Overtown doesn’t happen in boardrooms with people who don’t live here. It happens when the community comes together, speaks honestly about what we need, and works collectively to make it happen.
That’s what Conversation Wednesday is about.
Show Up and Be Heard
On February 18th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Children’s Village at Lotus Village (219 NW 14 Ter Suite 403), the Overtown Children & Youth Coalition is hosting the next Conversation Wednesday. This ongoing series—held every third Wednesday bi-monthly—brings the community together to shape Overtown’s future.
“We’ll discuss, develop, and implement strategies to address health and safety disparities, build economic enhancements for the community, deepen collaborative efforts across sectors, and improve data collection and accessibility.” – Anthony Robinson, Executive Director of The Overtown Children & Youth Coalition.
Notice those words: discuss, develop, and implement. This is about action, not just talk.
